HAHA, this cracked me up! Apple went homo on us! Who knows if this was really a marketing mishap or not, what I do know is that this is pretty damned gay ;-) I was in my local apple store just yesterday to see just how vibrant these colors were in person, and they are AS BRIGHT as they look in the picture, actually no the pink one is BRIGHTER in person, it's like BLAZING HOT PINK! I love pink ;-P
The oval shape is to die for, you tilt it to the side to see your albums in cover flow (like on an iPhone) and if you shake it back and forth you can shuffle your songs. It has gaming capabilities if you're a baby-gamer like me ;-P and you can view your pictures in both upright-portrait or in sideways-landscape view.
I have an iPhone and iPod shuffle (for workouts), as you know, so I have no use for an additional iPod, but trust me, as soon as I DISCOVER an additional need, I will be ON IT!!!
