Yes, I agree, they "get in the way" sometimes, but as long as you do your boo/sidepiece/or wifey a favor and keep 'em SHORT but MANICURED, then they will stay out your way, and still make your outfit pop...I am diggin the fact that they can be DARK whereby still standing out. The nude nail was killin me, cause my nubs were just BORING....they were borderline granny nails!
Now, for you andro/stud/butch/agg girls, you can just ask for a topcoat of the glossy "NATURAL PINK" polish they use for french manicures, but us girly girls like COLOR. And, at least for me, greyish-silver or "gunmetal" grey is where it's at. I still have a shimmery beige on my nails from my last trip to the salon, I'm transitioning from summer to fall, but next time it's all about me and gunmetal gray...
