Alright, so back in, like, 2007, when I was first introduced to Fiona Simone, I was given a mixtape with her album on it. On that same CD was a song called "Loddypop" and it was my CUT. I played that shit out! Well, that CD eventually saw a LOT of love and got scratched to all hell.
Recently, I was checkin' for Fi's newest stuff, and went and re-downloaded all her old stuff. As I was listenin', I realized "Loddypop" was NOWHERE to be found. I was frantic! That whole time, I thought it was a track of HER album, but it wasn't. It was just put on the same disk.
Then a few weeks ago, a rapper introduces herself to me, so I go to check her out, and I recognized her voice INSTANTLY. "Loddypop" was HER shit and she's Khaos da Rapper. Her album and work is available at the datpiff.com link above.
Now the rest of her shit is JUST as on fiya as "Loddypop". I can't believe this chick!!! She's hot!!! "Myplace" and her "Pharrell Joint" GO! She covers songs, but she purposefully states that "[She's] tryna make you forget what the song was originally!" And she ABSOLUTELY succeeds.
It's folks like her that prove that we are DOING it. Get on it.
