Pride's this weekend...

Some major Pride's this weekend on both coasts in cities with lovely weather.  SUUUUUPER sad I'm missin' out!!! 

Charlotte's Black Prideis this weekend, and the DJ list is smokin'.  My fave reality show vixenAneesa, will be in attendance, and my current dj crush, along with Mary Mac, who's legendary hot shit on a stick, in my book.  I recently asked her on twitter if I could get some below-the-neck shots, and can you believe she denied me?  She said she "couldn't".  =(  Anyway, I'll be there in spirit:

 

I was in Charlotte earlier this year, and downtown is comin' together proper!  I found a place with an awesome wine list and yummy ass food, if you're downtown and need to take a lady out for pre-pride festivities, check out Mimosa Grill.  Valet's like $5, and considering the area, mandatory.  Parking's hard to find.  Hell, cab it if you can ladies.

Then there's San Diego Pride in my home state.  I got BIG MOVES coming up so I CANNOT go, and I have to steadily remind myself of this everyday.  I am not afraid to hop a flight or fill the gas tank and head out for it.  Keepin' my eye on the prize though, BUT that's just me, so if you're within 300 miles of any of these, then you should go and have fun!

 

LA Black Pride At the Beach today & Tomorrow!!!

I almost forgot!  (blame it on the alcohol)  The "At the Beach" black pride festivities in LA quick off this evening in Malibu.  There's an after-party tonight and tomorrow as well.  I wish I could go, but mama's got tons of stuff to do =(  No joke, I just got the hottest pair of heels this week that would GO so HARD at ATB!!  My tan is JUST right, I'm gettin' my hair done this evening, I mean it would be so live!  I'm super dissappointed, BUT anyone within a 300 mile radius should find their way out to LA for some fun ass times if they have the time!

Sooooo, I can't recall how I heard of this last year, but it's going on again this year, and I'm very interested in going, buuuuuut with the economy, how many girls are gonna be able to make it out for this???  I don't wanna go, be all gassed, yet when I arrive it's crickets...

 

Thus far, the website does not have a finalized list of events; however, they do state that there will be a fashion show, all red affair, all white party, and Miss Sweetheat Miami (can I be a judge?!?!?!).  It's being held at the Royal Palm Hotel on Miami's South Beach.  It's advertised as a female pride for women of "all ethnicity's, culture's, and regional backgrounds."  If you check out the pictures from last year, you'll see some of the reasons I wanna be there ;-)

Let's talk cost.  I assume this is no longer tacky since we're in a recession, so here goes: the hotel is offering a $199/night event price, and VIP tickets are $100 for 3 event-nights.  This means no waiting in lines and some other goodies.  I don't know how much regular tickets are, but if VIP is only $100, then I am sure the regular ticket price is standard $30-50-ish?  Anyway, the hotel price is good for the location (it's RIGHT next to the beach), and the VIP package is appealing as well.  It's not THAT much, but all of our financial situations are different, so again I'm pondering, will the girls come out for this???  I guess, perhaps, I should just wait, and see for myself...
